TITLE: Director of Digital Platform Strategy

As the Director of Digital Platform Strategy, you will use your passion for building innovative web properties by partnering with creative and business leads to set and maintain the vision for Toyota’s website properties. You will lead the team of strategists and analysts in developing key consumer insights. You will then collaborate with the Creative, IM, Experience Design, and Technology groups to ensure that voice is central to the design, construction, and optimization of Toyota’s digital experience. An ideal candidate is part strategist, part philosopher, part perpetual student – you have a hunger for new and innovative ideas, and an ability to shape those ideas into actionable strategies and tactical executions.

Success for this position is measured by the following criteria:

  • Building a strong digital strategy practice at Saatchi; producing sound digital strategies that guide best-in-class website design and optimization
  • Establishing yourself as an effective leader for a team of digital platform, content, and UX strategists
  • Partnering closely with Analytics to ensure strategy is based data and research
  • Fostering strong relationships with cross functional discipline internal leaders and agency clients
  • Providing vision and leadership for large user research efforts

Roles and Responsibilities include:

  • Building and lead a high-performing team of Content, Platform, and UX strategists
  • Working with clients to translate business goals into digital strategies based on consumer insights, trend analysis, and business objectives
  • Development of strategic briefs, insights presentations and trend analyses
  • Designing research including competitive analysis, emerging opportunities, and consumer insights
  • Consulting on creative work from initial idea through to execution
  • Identify new digital innovation opportunities (technologies, partners, trends) and sell through to internal and client stakeholder teams
  • Championing the use of data to inform customer journeys, cross-tier, cross-brand experiences, and single-view-of-the-customer tools and marketing on behalf of our clients
  • Creating new processes and solutions
  • Ability and willingness to travel as required

Candidate abilities/experience should include:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree
  • Strategy experience in building and maintaining websites 7-10 years’ experience in an agency or startup setting, working with clients and top consumer brands
  • Experience managing a team of strategists
  • Experience working with Creative, User Experience, Account and Analytics teams.
  • The ability to shepherd projects from start to finish by, a) clearly articulating desired outcomes, b) ensuring objectives are met, and c) communicating results with stakeholders in a simple, accurate and timely fashion
  • Exceptional and persuasive communication and presentation skills (written/verbal)
  • Ability to analyze large amounts of information – both quantitative and qualitative – and synthesize customer and business insights into the development of creative strategies
