TITLE: Senior Planner

As a Senior Planner, you work closely with fellow planners, analytics and digital strategy in developing and implementing strategies—grounded in extraordinary insight and foresight—that positively influence American culture to generate excitement for the brands we service.
Success for this position is measured in the ability to work with the team to develop creative communication strategies for clients, creative teams, internal agency teams, and other strategic partners. The candidate must show understanding of the social landscape and has experience in developing social campaigns and strategies that are contextually relevant across all media, from mobile, to social, to broadcast, to print, and beyond. The candidate must be a change agent who manages to drive transformation and innovation within the department and agency.
The Senior Planner must be capable of quickly gaining a deep knowledge of the business landscape, products, our targets and what’s going on in culture in order to work with the team to develop strategies that achieve the combination of being sound (as in, they address a relevant business challenge) and being inspiring (as in, they lead to great work). We want a thought leader that is humble enough to say when he/she doesn’t have the answer, but resourceful enough to find the answer.
An ideal candidate will be able to lead both the creative strategy and the process it takes to get there, as well as work well with the planning team, other internal teams (creative, media, IM) and clients. The candidate must have 3+ years of strategic/account planning experience. Advanced degree a plus.
