Supervisor, Public Relations (Earned Media)

Saatchi & Saatchi Los Angeles has a once in a lifetime career opportunity for people ready to step to the challenge and work on global campaigns.  The people who join our team, should have the experience and desire to work on a global assignment.  The team works across multiple languages, currencies, cultures, time zones and will be expected to create systems, processes, procedures to streamline our work flow and improve communication.  The Global Team will be expected to work with the country teams (including the U.S.), but will not have specific assignment responsibilities for country-specific work.

As a Public Relations Supervisor, you work closely with the PR Director to develop and execute strategies that generate earned media and public relations outcomes. Success for this position is measured by the ability to execute a global earned media programs engaging international press, including corresponding editorial placements, social media mentions, content integrations and cross-promotional support.  An ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of how digital and non-traditional media operates, possess strong analytical skills and have 7+ years of experience in public relations, preferably in an agency setting or in-house for a major brand.

Candidate experience should include:

  • Exceptional persuasive communication and presentation skills (written/verbal)
  • Well versed in brand storytelling and experience in working with production teams
  • Experience effectively managing a team to produce desired outcomes
  • Ability to identify opportunities, ensure project objectives are met and merchandise past successes
  • Proven success managing client requests and flawlessly implementing feedback
  • Ability to lead and develop short- and long-term partner executions
  • Experience in implementing successful traditional, PR and/or social media measurement and valuations
  • Experience working in sports marketing a plus
  • Global communications experience a plus
  • Foreign language skills are preferred, but not required

Roles and Responsibilities include:

  • Manages the execution of public relations plans, strategies, and media pitches
  • Integral role in planning/development of unpaid/content media strategy
  • Ensure communication of goals and systems of measurement are aligned with tactics
  • Manages communications needs with third-party organizations participating in the campaign
  • Identify media-friendly stories associated with new and existing programs
  • Manage the tracking, measuring and reporting of results
  • Support day-to-day requests across varying client stakeholders and establish ongoing relationships with key clients/stakeholders
  • Identify cross promotional/departmental opportunities to maximize efficiencies
  • Work with legal department for contracts development, as needed
  • Coordination and planning of partner initiatives (agreements and timelines)
  • Ensures alignment with production for assets, timing and storytelling needs
