Director, Business Development

Reports to: Chuck Maguy, President, SSLA

As the Business Development Director, you will work closely with all Functional Leaders in identifying, developing and implementing a Business Development Strategy that pulls from and highlights our core strengths. This should generate internal and external buzz around key capabilities that appropriately align us with industries and clients that we want to work with as strategic advertising/marketing partners.

Success for this position will be measured by the employee’s ability to develop a process and culture that drives New Business acquisition and position us as continued leaders within the industry.

An ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience developing and managing the business development process along with general advertising/marketing experience.

Candidate experience will include:

  • 10+ years experience in Business Development in the Advertising/Marketing communities
  • Experience developing/fostering a successful Business Development Process/Culture
  • Experience developing targeting marketing campaigns to drive industry buzz
  • Experience in leading people through and developing responses to the RFP process
  • Experience leading Pitch Teams
  • A successful track record of building a New Business pipeline

Roles and Responsibilities include:

  • Create and implement a new business process
  • Create Buzz and Attraction around the SSLA/Dallas brand
  • Source, Prospect and attract new clients
  • Build relationships with search consultants as means to getting SSLA/Dallas into the right RFPs/Pitches
  • Build and maintain relationships across the Saatchi network, with client partners and internal stakeholders
  • Lead internal new business team on all RFPs/Pitches
  • Work closely with Leadership team to identify and pull appropriate resources as needed to address Business Development needs.
