Public Relations Strategist (Freelance)

The Public Relations Strategist must be highly creative, a strong writer, resourceful, organized and results-driven. An ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of how traditional and non-traditional media operates and have 4+ years of experience in an agency setting working in media, account management or public relations.

Candidate experience should include:

· Proficiency in business writing and crafting persuasive communications

· Ability to craft strategic media pitches and effectively work with journalists

· Successful development and implementation of public relations programs

· Project leadership, strong follow-up and attention to detail

· Experience in developing digital/social communication plans and strategies

· Previous work in sports marketing is a plus, but not mandatory

· Foreign language skills are preferred, but not required

Roles and Responsibilities include:

• Development of press materials, client briefing books, and region tool kits

• Management of production timelines, vendors, and translation of materials

• Identify media-friendly stories associated with client campaigns

• Track, measure and report media coverage

• Craft insightful, client-ready communications and reports

• Support day-to-day requests across varying departments and regions

• Demonstrate passion for creating new processes and solutions
