Public Relations Strategist

Saatchi & Saatchi Los Angeles has a once in a lifetime career opportunity for people ready to step to the challenge and work on global campaigns. The people who join our team should have the experience and desire to work on a global assignment. The team works across multiple languages, currencies, cultures, time zones and will be expected to create systems, processes, procedures to streamline our workflow and improve communication. The Global Team will be expected to work with the country teams (including the U.S.), but will not have specific assigned responsibilities for country-specific work.

The Public Relations Strategist must be highly creative, a strong writer, resourceful, organized and results-driven. An ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of how traditional and non-traditional media operates and have 4+ years of experience in an agency setting working in media, account management or public relations.

Candidate experience should include:

  • Proficiency in business writing and crafting persuasive communications
  • Ability to craft strategic media pitches and effectively work with journalists
  • Successful development and implementation of global public relations programs
  • Project leadership, strong follow-up and attention to detail
  • Experience in developing digital/social communication plans and strategies
  • Proficient in Cision and/or Meltwater
  • Presentations

Roles and Responsibilities include:

  • Development of press materials, client briefing books, and region toolkits
  • Create and maintain media lists
  • Develop creative story angles, identify appropriate journalists/outlets and secure coverage in print, broadcast and online media outlets spanning consumer, sports, lifestyle, business, tech, and trade.
  • Management of production timelines and vendors
  • Track, measure and report media coverage
  • Craft insightful, client-ready communications and reports
  • Collaborate with cross-functional global team, supporting day-to-day requests across varying departments and regions
  • Demonstrate passion for creating new processes and solutions
