As a Senior Market Insight Analyst, you work closely with the Culture, Connection & Strategy Department, as well as international client teams in developing and implementing research and analysis plans to generate relevant and useable insights that help strategists identify and solve issues in the global marketplace, and help create strategies that help generate awareness of and excitement for the client’s brand.

Success for this position is measured by the ability to analyze quantitative and qualitative data from various sources and distill it into insightful, story-driven, actionable reports; manage outside research vendors to create a seamless research experience for the clients and strategic planners; and develop trusting relationships with internal teams, clients, and 3rd party research partners.

An ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of quantitative research and data analysis, a general understanding of qualitative research and marketing strategy, and 3-5 years of market research experience in a research-heavy strategy role or research-specific role in an advertising or market research agency.

Roles and Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with international client & agency teams throughout various research and analysis projects
  • Partner with Market Insights Director to develop & streamline global research processes
  • Play a lead role in developing and monitoring campaign objectives for global campaigns
  • Manage vendors throughout the research process, including through a complicated reporting process
  • Advise agencies & clients throughout research – recommend methods, help create questionnaires, etc.
  • Manage Market Insight Analyst & vendors through global quantitative and qualitative data analyses
  • Work closely with the Market Insights Director and internal teams to report campaign results across multiple countries, and from multiple sources (e.g. global research, social listening, media delivery, etc.)
  • Create actionable, story-driven presentations of quantitative, and sometimes also qualitative data
  • Present research and campaign performance results to agency and client teams
  • Provide internal teams with relevant research and insights to inform strategic briefs/discussions
  • Stay up to date on the latest vendors, methods, and tools – provide recommendations to teams
  • Identify opportunities for further research or data analysis
  • Gather research and information from various sources to answer complex questions
  • The ability and willingness to travel and to work extended hours, including weekends, as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Candidate experience should include:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Exceptional persuasive communication and presentation skills (written/verbal)
  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills, including ability to multitask and manage time effectively
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to also see and act on the bigger picture
  • Ability to distill large amounts of data into digestible and actionable story-driven insights
  • Experience managing vendor, client, and internal relationships on complex research projects
  • Deep knowledge of various quantitative research methods (advertising and qualitative research a plus)
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to also see and act on the bigger picture
  • Well-versed in data analysis methods, and the tools used to conduct them (SPSS experience a plus)
  • Experience working with international clients and partners a plus
